What do you reccomend?
I'm looking early jan for beachcaster that won't break the bank ! £100 mark that will do as an all rounder ideally 13ft or over to be used with a multi
I'm currently using an old Abu which is a little heavy and just fancy something lighter
Regards graham

u wont get much for that mate a rt axcellerator but there not a all rounder there a rough ground rod with zero bite detection just a winching tool

i had a greys apollo mk2 a few year ago pretty decent rod and can pick a 2nd hand 1 up for 60-80 quid, leave ya with sum money for bait ;)

i thought you ment new mate if you are flexible with the amount you get some good second hand rods for around that money mate but new its the rt axcellerator there light compared to old rods jst very stiff ok for heavy ground but no good for a beach mate if your just over head lobbing and not really belting ya leads out the soniks are good i know people who have snapped them and some who swear by them if ya buy new life time warranty so cant really go wrong

What about the sonic sks?

Sks are a nice rod for the price , I got one for £30 and its great for 5 onz and fishing beaches or the river . New there about £90 and that's a 13foot model , good luck and tight lines

new rod

go on e bay[auctions only] you will be amazed at what is available ,if you bide your time and bid at the last minute.... but do your research before you bid ie check out the retail price and reviews first.... i got a paul kerry for £20 beachcaster abu6500 reel for £30 all mint .

Greys grx-s !!! Lad selling one on here seen reports that they prone to snapping is this true?
Your thoughts please, regards graham

I used 1 last week mate and its a brilliant rod, it never snapped whacking a big bait + lead OTG casting for me. I think alot of these stories are made up of hear say, ie a friend of a friends rod snapped etc, although I do know the sonik sk3 story is real.

Well im picking the greys up thurs so fingers crossed its not a snapper

I have two soniks a sk3 and 4 but dont get a sks floppy load of ****e and you'll out grow it in 5 minutes, you can get some excellent preloved rods on here for a 100 nicker, and if you hardly go out you will probs not break it. Most good rods have a warrantee, sonik's is good. A second hand Kompressor would be ideal but a little more than 100 for a preloved one.
