Moved up to South Shields a few weeks ago.
Having to kill time while finding work, so went to Marsden Bay for a walk today (not got my fishing tackle yet).
As you come down the steps near the first aid building, I walked to the left over the rough ground as the tide was going out.
There were at least 15 of these fish washed up. I have never seen one before, they are sort of Bream shaped, with a sort of rough but leatherlike skin, Grey to black, with red bellies, and a right old gob full of teeth.
Maybe some of you know what they are as they may be localised, but I certainly haven't seen em before !
Oh yeah, they all had there eyes missing too ! lol
