What is an Android Box?

Anyone who knows me knows I am rubbish with technology. I saw an advert on facebook for a local guy selling Android Boxes for £100. He says you get all sports, films etc and just need wifi at no extra cost! Is this correct? Surely if it is, everyone would just cancel Sky etc and buy a box? Any help gratefully appreciated. I have Virgin TV and wifi, but just basic TV package.

PS Asked Mark, he has no idea either! :D

My mate has one Lynn...... He had to up his connection as wifi wasn't up to the job and then he lost all his channels so the lad he bought it off had to sort it for him not what they cracked up to be imo. Just buy a prepaid box from sky.... 2 choices: sport pack or family pack and it goes through normal ariel aswell

i got mine last year it was an m8 box and you want it fullyloaded, its spot on for tv and movies, dont get much of the sport now but it does need updating

Yeah the addons come and go so you need to know how to update it.

They all run a program called Kodi, you can also install this on computers tablets etc. just google it.

XBMC Addons for Kodi is a good site for beginners.

The legality of it all? Who knows.

Ps

£100 ain't cheap unless he's offering unlimited support.

OK thanks boys, I think I will just leave it, I wasn't convinced to start with!

I may just get Netflix, as I couldn't care less about sports and Mark isn't that bothered either. :)

You can but a m8 android box and stick kodi on yourself, follow youtube instructions its a doddle, you can buy the m8 android boxes from ebay for around £54 blank, internet speed is the next thing as long as your internet speed is in double figures you will be fine

You can get them for £36 now and a print off of how to set it all up in under 45mins, as stated a good connection is a must.

I have had one for two years there are good I paid £100 then there is a man selling them for £65 fully loaded and you get support off him too if you want his number I can send it to you they save you loads of money long term

Ive had 1 for a couple of years now 65 quid fully loaded they are great for new and old films but as said we had to update to the fastest broadband but well worth the money
