hi people im after buying a rod eather a zziplex or century, i have been looking at them and there is so many different models it is a bit mind boggling. the normal places i fish is on tynemouth pier in the tyne and im wanting to do a bit beach fishing. i was just woundering what models are good for an all rounder rod. thanks dave p.s i quite like the zziplex m4 ???

century carbon metal crest- lovely to cast, good bite detection. A great allrounder and great for the heaviest ground too, really pulls the plug out.

I second that, cracking rods.

Either that or a Zziplex M4 Evo, very very good rod, still wish a had mine, casts a dream, excellenr bite detection, the works. As Zziplex say about it, 'it is the best general anglers rod on the market, all you need in 13ft 6"s of carbon!'... :)

It's all doon to personal preference mate, your choice.

zipplex broom shank made from highland toffee bars and top carbon from scotlands best sweatshops gives the rods the bend needed in casting or go for a sonik sk,s nowty it is lucky on double figure cod :D

100 % century crest all day had most rods i do not grab zipplex not a scratch on century rod that what i think

what is the difference between an zziplex m4 and m4 evo ?
and the difference between an century cm and cmc?
thats lads all the help is very greatful

m4 evo is 20% stiffer than m4 its 13ft 6ins butt diameter is about 24.5mm and 2 equal sections great beach rod.

Carbon metal crest is J curve rod and stiffer than the carbon metal which is more of a C curve rod butt diameter is about 26mm. The carbon metal has a longer tip than butt section so the tip bends smoothly in the cast.

The crest will handle anyfishing you will ever do I had one. Even lifting fish up rocks or pier walls. Century are pretty tough rods.

m4 evo tho great for mixed ground beach fishing had some good fish on mine from lynemouth this season upto 6lb handled them no bother.
