just wondering what that tower type thing is off Blyth
looks a little like the CN tower, also can you fish close to it
or is it out of bounds, I haven't a clue,,, cheers lads.

its an offshore anemometry platform,, 3 miles off Blyth.
an open access platform that provides wind and environmental
data, it helps to validate turbine demonstrations on the proposed site
it enables vital testing as well as evaluating environmental conditions
marine and wildlife data, for research and development purposes....
So much for that !!!! thank you google,,,
after all that, any ideas what its for ????

They're putting a few wind turbines there. The platform is testing if it will be economically viable. There's no exclusion zone that I know of.
