Never tried off the shingle beach, but most of the skeers are worth a chuck either side of low water. Can throw up some good fish at times. I've fished the south side of the bay (Collywell) at high tide (bottom of the ramp) so it's got to be worth a go. Probably best when there's a bit of a sea on.

Hi Peter, the shingle beach can throw up some very nice fish during the winter season, I have'nt fished it during the summer so could'nt say. It needs a good sea to fish well but watch out if it is too rough as you can get the odd wave cleaning the whole small beach. The skeer in your picture is Charlie's Garden, another good mark in the right conditions. The bay is called Collywell Bay, hope this helps a bit.

Charlies Garden - I can remember that rock being more than 4 times it's current size. Canny area high and low tide - fish between the two skiers to the right either tide, try to the left around the corner high tides but check at low for the holes/snags.

one of my fav local hunting grounds, you have alot of marks around that area.
it fishes well, but you need the right conditions.
stay well clear of it if there is a good sea running.

the area around there is snaggy, a rotten bottom is a must.
use the skkers to you advantage and fish a few hours either side of low water.

any area from the south of blyth beach to the start of whitley beach is worth a chuck ;D
