Hi,

I'm off out on Friday ( a little last minute) on a boat of out the Tyne. One go out like once a year maybe and usually later on in the year... July/August etc

It sounds like there not much of the maccies in at the moment, so do i need to stock up more than normal on the squid etc...? Sounds like baby cuttlesfish or Blues are rated highly also.. What your opinions on them or any other secret baits Scallop finges? :)

I've got some muppets/daylights etc and some shads....What else should I be looking at getting?

Thanks In Advance Dave

Last week it was day-lites with Asda whole cooked prawns(shells on). Dont go out without them!

No mackerel at all but most fish going for unbaited lures, shads. pirks anyway. Mackerel and crab took afew also....i would think the boat will spend most if not all the day on the rough ground but you should be looking good for a few cod and maybe odd ling.

I am having 1 maybe 2hrs out in afew hours time very close in.

thanks for the replies NorthEAst1 and kayos. Def getting some Shelly prawns :) plus some additional shads daylights and perks :)

looks like a bright sunny day...will have to remember the suncream as even last time i went out and it was cloudy all day i came back bright pink lol :)

looking forward to it. I'll post a report when I get back.

all i ever only use on the boat is squid and lots of it i take 3 boxes on a trip out normally

Well the reports from people is St Marrys is netted out and Souter not showing fish....guess the netters and the many boats fishing of late has finished them off.
