I think they real pretty!
Used to pull loads out when you could fish behind the tanks at hendon! Some are really colourful. Are the males brighter than females?

I agree mate, there lovely looking fish and yes I think it is the males that are brighter in colour.

Seemed to catch quite a few of these upto about 12 years ago but now only seem to see them in the stomach of a gutted cod, when i catch 1 anyway!!!!!!

its definitly a granny fish. do you mean Weever fish mate? Weaver Fish.

The granny fish is harmless and as said, its spikes aren't sharp so i normally just use bare hands.
