When do pollack show

I like to fish for them during the summer months at eyemouth using a strike float but I think there around from april -november crasters supposed to be a good place for them but Ive had no luck when Ive fished there

I once fished a place called saint abbs when i was a kid and had some good pollack up to 6lb but i cant for the life of me remember where it is. :casstet:

a few pollack are around all winter on most marks,if the sea settles you can target them like the lad that won the 2nd winter open at arbroath in january did, giving the conditions he fished soley for them and had a 24lb bag to weigh in. i have had 2 this winter to 4lb+ taking a bait on the retrieve, they are out there its just a case of trying for them

Nice one Gordon. I remember that post and thought at the time that I must try a bit more float fishing. Will be giving it a go soon. Hopefully it might be worth letting you know how I get on lol.

Jim.
