where is the rail end

most anglers call the rail end where the hand rail ends but years ago (25y)a mate used to call the rail end where the train line on the wall ended -the crane was on the pier them days any ideas i have looked at old photos and there does not seem to ba any lines up to the bend

I've always known the rail end as the end of the hand rail but what your saying about the end the the crane rail would make sense some of the older lads may be to shed some light on this one

the crane tracks have mostly been taken away now so that rail end will be shorter.
