I dont know the area that well but if anyone can suggest any marks that are on the map on the original site I would be very greatfull. Is there much weed about to spoil the beach and any holes that anyone knows of at the minute. If the sea is flat should I try the pier ?

From what i remember Blyth is a funny place to fish, the sea can be perfect but no fish anywhere, other times it can be totally calm and produce loads of fish. I cant figure this place out!
Sorry not much help, but i often see people fish around the pipe by the caravan storage place.

Aye very true orinoco. It has not been doing to well up there lately but as you say they could come on any time depending on the conditions. If the forecast for Southerlies is right it might be worth fishing the pier but if it is flat I can\'t see much being caught there. Try around Meggie\'s burn always worth a shout if nothing there try working your way slowly back up the beach towards the concrete jetty and then Stubblie\'s.
Failing that and ONLY if the sea is not too big try fishing the Sumps at the Sluice end. Have a good look at it first to see if it is ok.

Not sure yet where we will be tomorrow night but if we are up that way I will let you know before then.

Jim.

Looks good for the sumps with the south easterly on its way.Fishes from about an hour after high water right down and back up again.

Just seen the sea and it is HUGE,stay well clear of the sumps tonight, the beach is also unfishable so if you really want to fish Blyth the pier is your only option.Personally i would head for west bay at whitley bay
