Where to fish in Whitby

I am maybe going to Whitby tomorrow to visit my brother and thought it maybe worth taking a rod or two down with me for a few hours fishing, I would rather fish off a pier or simular as my bro wont have gear suitable for the beach or rock marks,
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated,

Yes there is a pier in Whitby that you can fish from, I would be very surprised if you were the only ones on it as it is a very popular mark.
