Where to go Saturday?

'm having another run across on Saturday to fish somewhere North of Blyth (Don't fancy the pier) and there's a fair bit of a SE wind forecast. It's another case of being stuffed without local knowledge. I'm not after anyones favorite marks just general areas that's fishable on strong SE'lys and places to steer clear of.
I'm fair wanting to have a go at the Beacons but I reckon that'll have to be when it dies away.
I had a shot at Sugar Sands the other day...to calm. What's it like on a strong SE'ly ?

Usually with the slightest bit of sea it fills wi kelp, and you lose lots of gear.
 
I have'nt fished sugar sands in quite a while so don't really know how it's been fishing of late , but it does fish or used to fish on a s.easterly but can weed up quite badly. With that in mind you could try the north end of cresswell carrs or in the lea of (you did'nt say what time you going ) don't cast to far. Alternatively you could try hadstone beach to the right of the T- JUNCTION 3 DOWN 2 UP best of luck.

cambois rock marks are a good bet.
as is hartley skeer and hartley island just south of seaton sluice.
they can fish well in a SE. you wont have to chuck out far and could be in with a chance of a lunker around there :)

i drove past the beach this morning and the sea has died down compaired to what its was yesterday, but there is more forecast on its way.
 
i fished newbiggin yesterday and blyth pier.
sea was running well at both places, gear was moved about abit at newbiggin and pulled in a few strands of kelp.
 
I'd stay clear of the beacons if theres a decent sea on - it can get mountainous round there specially the north end
prob worth a shot off the beach though an as said by someone previously cambois is a good bet
 
i would try the hartley area mate.

has always fished well for me in these conditions, im thinking of going the for a few hours :)
