help on a mark to fish, i will be back in south shields next weekend, the first time i've been back since my mam passed away a year ago, the only chance i've got to go fishing is saturday, i'm stuck for choice of mark, just to make it more complicated i want to go to see the sunderland match as well. so any help as wether i should fish before or after the match, i've only got fairly crappy gear ,sort of 80 yards casting , would love to be in with a chance of a size codling(dreaming), when i used to come up regularly i fished peir, walkway, and codgers corner, but i've allways had a soft spot for the mill dam even though i've never had much luck there, just happy with few fish to be honest, any advice would be gratefully accepted. (apart from don't go to the match, i'm a glutton for punishment :))
thanks for any advice

There are some good points down by souter lighthouse if you park in the back carpark and walk down, ive never blanked there the 15 or so times ive been, even had a small strap conger there and quite often throws up a nice cod, i wont tell you my spot though :p

sorry to hear about your mam :( .....and sorry to hear your a sunderland fan :D

south shields pier and the walkway have been producing some nice bags...just beware of the a******* that keeps keying peoples cars.

thanks for the help lads, probably walkway, but might stay till monday now so can fit two sessions in if the voice fom the kitchen doesn't get twisty. ;)
