Hi can ne one confirm if theres any mackie getting caught yet or when can we expect them to start showing up

Been catching a few stray ones on the boats. But I don't think theyre coming into the Shore this Season! (spread the rumour) keep shields pier free of nakkas !!!

That right apparently is because of the position on the gulf stream, not only is it messsing up our weather but its keeping all the macky 10 miles off shore, there is no point in fishing for them this year

It needs to be flat for the water to clear up and a good period of sunshine should help.

Yes madmackie m8 as some of the lads on the boats reckon they have caught a few stragglers out there about 10 miles from shore so hopefully with a bit warmer weather it might attract them into our part of the areas of the coast and then bingo how/s your father the piers will be crawling with bodies all over and then the macky season will be over before you know it so here/s looking forward to it okay m8.

Was out yesterday (6/5/12) and was very surprised at how clean the water was compared to last weekend, were it was still dirty 3-4 miles out.
