wheres the mackys

thats the best option marshy i used to go down midnight have a few hours bait fishing ..then try for a few mackerel first light then offskies ..this avoids the nutters that arrive later on ;)

it was mental last year, ive not long been into fishing, and when i got on the pier and saw the place......it was like the saw movies, blood, guts, eyes, the lot!!!! me and my mate ended up cleaning the round head before we even had a line in the water!!!!

im telling you now all the a&e wards will be sponsored buy the local scrap yards with all the metal getting taken out of people:D:D
they will be selling secondhand feathers and lures in the hospital gift shops:D:D
mark my words:)

Its funny you say that
two lads on the end, left rubbish, its ok boys I put it in the bin.
There were two contractors working in the light house one came out for a pee ,walked to the outside of the light house and had a pee against the light house ,may have been better to pee in the water
next walked past 4 anglers not kids but blokes, a fresh pee mark up the wall 5ft away from the water
next passing two CHAVS as we got closer to them discarded line which I picked and put in the bin 10 ft away from then ,then it was here mate ya got any bait
then against the wall can only be described as the worst looking curry I have seen spread over the ground with the CHAVS white sock on top ware he had wiped his bottom
THE SEASON HAS STARTED WELCOME TO SOUTH SHEILDS

Kinda feel much the same......at the moment I'd much rather be out targeting good plaice, but the conditions have been dire:( As far as mackerel go, early season ones are generally small & I'm afraid I don't get caught up in all this anticipation - I generally wait until late in the season then get out for a couple of early morning sessions with the float rod to bag up on the big ones. Only reason I'd go out any earlier was if I needed a few for bait; then I'd get out, get what I needed fast & scarper before the Burberry Brigade show up!

Gary :)
