Im thinking about somewhere different for tomorrow night for low water. Can't get out till about 10pm so will probably be somewhere local, so I was thinking about the rough ground behind latimers, at the north end of seaburn beach. any advice for fishing there??

Hi Andy, best fished with a bit of a sea running for cod etc from what I've heard but never fished it myself. Guess if there is no sea then it will be the same as most other beaches in the area (shields etc). Try dropping Davey M a line, think he fishes the area on occasion. Best of luck

hi i am going to try here on Sunday, where is the best bit to fish.
i am wanting to fish the beach area left of marsdon rock looks ok, so is this area a clean beach bit or will i still need use release on weights with light line.
another question will this be open and in the full wind, as looks windy on sunday.
ive looked on phils fishing marks and it looks clean to left and rocky to the right.

any info as i know a canny few of you guys fish there.

It should be well sheltered from the southerly wind that is forecasted, yes your right about it being clean ground to the north side of the rock. It gets scoured out on a southerly just to the northside of the rock but your best off taking a look at low water to check for holes.

good reply jamie.my little bit added.fish say 30,40yds to the left then cast slightly north,as somehow your line tends to move south.as for holes, imo just cast as far as you can @ thats it.dont get me wrong theres fish at short distance.no need for rotten bottoms.also for your benifit, youll probaly know best of with chest waders for extra couple of yards + tripple r/rest.i also find smaller wires on grippers better, longer ones drag alot when reeling in,you think you have a fish lying on every cast,if that makes sence.good luck.
