White House Sands 30/11/08

Fished the Amble club match on the white house sands, we were going to head up to cullernose but plumped for the sands instead. I had two bites all match and landed one cod, just! With my trusty fishing partner(Micky Collins, Name and Shame!) doing his best to kick it off by tripping over my line! The fish threw the hook in the surf but I managed to grab it before the next wave. I saw two other cod caught by the lad next to me but a overall it was a bit disapointing and I was expecting better, never mind the fish weighed 4lb11 if I remember correctly so not a bad one. The tide was the full ebb down from high water so not the best. I am writing this just before I head up to Amble for a chuck tonight to fish the last of the ebb and first of the flood.

I fished the panhaven and saltpan guts last night for a couple of hours to no avail, they were both choked with weed and I didn't get a touch even though the sea looked perfect. Out on friday next.

It could be ok by tonight, it is not too bad in Consett and has turned to rain allready. All of the main roads are fine round here.

Jim.
