Whitehaven in a few hours

Good luck mate, hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Last time I fished Whitehaven was around 5 to 6 years ago. We fished the South pier, and it took literally 1 minute to walk to the end, its that short :D. That pier offers access to deep water, and is great for many species. Dogfish do turn up, but not as prolific as the likes of up Scotland. Some very big plaice can be caught inside the harbour on the mud flats. Dabs, Flounders, Coalies, Codling and whiting are on offer to. Good pollack fishing can be had via float fishing and spinning jelly worms down the side.

Enjoy your fishing. :)

At least you's got out and fished mate, more than a did on good friday (wasnt fishing in the drink, but a was on the drink! :D :D :D)

Well done on at least getting out and giving it a go. :)

A mile long to be precise :D,I'm eager but I have to carry a bay window everywhere with me pmsl,so more like 15mins to me :D

Are you serious?

Think you need your facts straight mate. South Shields Pier is nearly a mile or a mile each way, whithaven pier is know where near as long as shields pier. You can park your car at the base of Whitehaven Pier and its practically a 5min leisurely walk to the end (or under that if your quick).

Heres a view of both South Shields pier and Whithaven pier, and you can easily see the deiiference in length...

If you look at the right side of the Whitehaven pier pic, you can see where you can park your car at the front of the building, then a short walk to the end... :)
