Fished Brighams last night 9.30pm to 2.30am. Couldn't get to the tackel shop in time to get bait so decided to go whiting bashing with some mackeral out of the freezer. Started on Codgers Corner then moved to the Spirit of South Shields later on. Quiet at first with only one small one but things started picking up after 11pm and bigger fish turning up after midnight (high tide 1.14pm). I ended up with six whiting in total the biggest ones were 37cm and 38cm.
