Whiting-Fest in Jarrow 30/12/2011

Fished Jarra today 10am until 6.30pm. Set up in front of the steps. Caught loads of whiting kept these five bigger ones the largest was 42cm weighing in at 1lb 8oz a new personal best for me for that species .......

Well done on your catch, some cracking plump whiteys there. Think they scrap alright for their size as well.

Well dun mate had a few myself down there today from 11 till 530 I've never seen as many anglers that were there 2day in a while .. Soon as I got there I thought there was a match but they soon dyed off when the rain came lol but we battled on eh and it payed off with a few nice fish .. Once again mate well done on your catch all the best

Aye mate I like the rain I think it livens up the fish with all that extra oxygen in the water so better for catching. This was the first time I've fished that mark and I will definately be back. A great little spot and not far to travel for me. Were you the lad to the right in the red/black floaty?
