Hey lads,

Am still a total shore fishing novice and was wondering if there are many whiting being taken. Fancy a bit of a whitey bashing session but not sure if they are showing yet and wheres best to get them??

Some one mentioned horden beach on the flood. Any other decent spots??
Im not bothered about any other species this time round just fancy a canny nites sport with a couple of the lads who don't do much fishing.

any ideas would be welcome

nice one

Im going down horden on saturday night, if you want to tag along. All the colliery beaches produce whiting. Best bet is after dark, 3hrs up 3hrs down. It's a good tide this weekend too so anything is possible at low water. I'll be fishing the north end just next to the pipe.

Take some fresh mackerel and plenty of it lol.

cheers fella! Not sure if i'll be able to make it sat coz i'll be working but defo let me know how you get on. Think i'll be going up the middle of next week, i'll drop ya a message let you kno the craic.

have a good un!

seaham hall beach will produce whitings after dark bait to use rag tiped with macky or lug rag then macky strip
