Afternoon all, just wondering if there's anywhere around the Whitley bay, tynemouth sort of way that's good for spinning or a bit of lure chucking??

st marys as already said, whitley pipe the front of hartley island would be worth a try and tynemouth pier when it closes. crawleys might be worth a bash with jelly worms as well.

some good mark`s there, good advice m8, definately give the pier a look.

i was down the tyne last night at the middens getting some water for my crabs and the water is like chocolate at the minute full of fresh water. if going to the pier i would do it over high water so most of fresh water gets push back but the tides are small at the minute.

South end of Whitley Bay beach. You will see it stretching out at low water. Try a float fished mackerel strip just over the edge of the kelp for pollock. If your not catching there, just to the south is crawly's (you will see a big square pool at the bottom ofthe stairs). Fish off the south point of here for pollock on the float and spinner. usually at your feet.

Crawleys is at cullercoats on the promenade just where the life ring is. Where the old square pool thing is in Whitley that's table rocks I'd try on north crab hill chucking towards the pipe

had a few undersize pollack to bronze spinners the other week off the pipe. took them about 15-20ft out, off the edge of the kelp nothing else tho!
