Victory for the scratchers tonight..8 fished over HW and 5 weighed in (mostly whitings) as follows:

1st - Gary Thompson - 7 fish - 5lb 8.5oz
2nd - Colin Bell - 4 fish - 3lb 8oz
3rd - Paul Brown - 1 fish 3lb 1oz (HF)
4th - David Airey - 3 fish - 2lb 15oz
5th - Chris Stringer - 1 fish 1lb 11oz

Tried the heavy stuff for something a bit better myself tonight but to no avail
Xmas comp next tuesday when it's all to fish for!

Hope you manage to restore my faith that there are still one or two around Davy - Paul Brown managed to find a single codling from Castle rocks that was the HF, I had no luck other than a couple of bites from Crawleys. Chris left & went to Sumps for a single codling but the beach-boys got in amongst the chickens last night
