posted on 31/12/2003 at 15:24Fished whitley Bay beach 2am (this morning). Pulled in a 2Lb codling first cast
then nothing but a few knocks on the line for the rest of the time.
There was a bit of a nip in the air (Weatherman said -7C.). The ice was piling up against my thumb as I fed the line back onto the spool, and the codling was frozen solid by the time I went home
- had to defrost it before I gutted it
