A total of 88 fished, not bad given the still atrocious roads in many places, did hear tales of one or two people getting a bit stuck. Well done to all who managed to weigh-in, fishing was very hard just about everywhere.

Cheers, Gary :)

No one area really fished that well - from memory, Steve Potts had the winning bag from the Middens, Ken West had his fish from the Lobster Pots (King Eddies). The 6lber came from the Pipe Skeers at Whitley, I had mine from the end of the Pipe. There were a couple of fish from Rocky Island, but next to nothing from Blyth beach despite a lot of people choosing to fish there. Geoff King got his from North Crab Hill, but everyone was saying that bites everywhere were few & far between.

Cheers, Gary :)

doesnt sound too bad coming last when there was 88 rods out lol. i fished the middle bogs hoping to pick up a few stragglers, but apart from a whiting first chuck it was poor, and there was a lot of guys on the beach.:)

Not too bad at all mate - anyone who managed to catch was doing well....the trouble with Blyth Beach (and Newbiggin, and Whitley apparently) was that when the sea dropped right off, first thing saturday morning those pesky little cobles were out shooting several miles of nets all over the place. :(

Gary :)
