Not gonna fish it,once again they have dropped a bollock with the tide times, how can you have a match fishing 3h 45m ebb and no flood?
First 2h would be a waste of time!

:( same here, hubby and I were going to fish it tonight, but and a big but, read the comp. times in the Newbiggen website it said it was 9 o\'clock until 1 in the morning......eh! clocks change etc.. eh! that would mean 3 down. 1 hour up..nah!!! given it a miss just like last year.

Heather

Not fishing it myself, cos am sitting here lol,but I did find it a bit of a strange time to fish,crack-off is right bit of a shambles, hope it works out for someone

Must admit I would rather fish 3 hours down and I hour up from almost anywhere along the coast rather than 2 & 2

Fishing was 8-12 not 9-1 so you are fishing 3h45m ebb and no flood.Stores, beaches apart it will be impossible to get on 99% of rock marks for at least an hour and a half.

got to agree with you there but we fished blyth pier and the 2 of us picked up prizes, admittedly I picked up the last one, but a sander is a sander, someones xmass prezzy!! :)

Talked about this on the way home. The problem is the Open calender is now so full that if you pick a tide say for 10pm to fish two down, two up the the low water on the Sunday is going to be around 10.30am and likely to be booked for an Open.

Probably hard trying to fit it in and I know how hard it is to run an Open, you\'ll never please everyone anyway. Hard to get perfect tides all the time.

Then could it not be about ones fishing knowlage?? I had/we 2 places in mind, fish the boat house down, then the last 2 hours switch to Small Bay or the Panama with an option of the Pipe but that was a lot of time waisted running between spots. So we stuck with Blyth Pier, I think 2nd team event went to 2 ladds fishing the pier????
