Advice wanted Having a few days up there from 9th til 12th of june whats fishing like round there is it rough ground or sand any help would be appreciated

to answer your question quickly you have every type of ground around whitley, from clean to as rough as you will find anywhere.

rough to the north and south with a few clean stretches in between along the beach

Good summer sport to be had on Whitley pipe as long as the sea is flat ,obviousy keep an eye on the tide ,spinning etc.

You can also try Crawley (Table Rock) which is a large skeer which runs out to the right of the pipe. Cast S/E as there is a gulley which runs up there. Heavy ground with kelp so prepare to lose some gear but there are a few reddies around there.
