Whitley Beach

Headed of to Whitley beach last night with Sigsy (on Terrys recomendation) to drown some worms. Wind made bite detection almost impossable, but with a bucket of yellows for bait and a good see running we were fairly confident we would find a fish. An hour after the food decided to move mark a little further up the beach, first cast bang, fish on, A little over 7lb and a new PB :) nothing much happened after that and struggled to hold bottom to we packed up. Oh and a big thanks to the lad who lent me his scales to weigh the fish, i must remember to put mine in my box :D

Well done mate, cracking fish, sound advice off Terry too. :)

Oh, and the lad who lent you his scales is a mate of mine of here, his name is shaun, and on here is called 'shaun'..... obviously! :D

Again, well done mate.

Well done!

Well done!

Well done on the Cod. 7lb for this time of year is a cracking fish! I had a drive down to Tynemouth Beach last night and there was a stiff SE wind and a cracking sea running! I had a drive up to St. Mary's and think I saw your head lamp on the beach from a distance. I actually thought there would be more rods out! After my 7lb 12oz on Friday I have took a few days off but plan to get out soonest. I think with the SE and the way the sea is running the beach "should" throw up some fish. Well done again and good luck for the rest of the season!

Nice fish Phil!! I was fishing big bay and saw lights down towards bottom of beach....guess it was you lol

Very windy night making conditions hard and only managed coalies. My mate had almost 13lb bag in his match tho so they were there just had to move to find them.

Got a match tonight so hoping wind has done one and i get some fish out.
