Will The First Trip Off Happen soon?

Morning,

Me and Micky were up at Amble last night doing a few bits and bobs and had the boat for a little run to move closer to the engine being ran in.On a burst of full throttle she managed 47kmph before we had to slow down and felt like she still had a bit more to give. We ventured out of the piers and were greeted with 6-8 foot waves. She handled fine and dry feet are definetly a huge bonus from the wet feet associated with Nefin! Looking at the weather for the next few days it looks like monday will be the earliest day we could get off for the maiden fishing trip! I am itching to get the first fish over the gunnel as I am back to work on the 27th for three weeks so hopefully we will have christened her by then! A couple of photo's from last night,

Way to go Graham , looks like a few more days of easterlies :( I'm looking for a weather window to get back out too. what's this kmph nonsense lol , thought us boaters had to talk in knots :D?
Can't be long now till we get a run of settled weather , the far end of the forcasts I use are showing a nice high pressure system coming about Tuesday/Wednesday , hope they are right ;)

p.s. , i was wondering about the cq bit too

A bit of a long story about the CQ3. Me and Micky grew up in Cowpen, a part of Blyth those who know with a bit of a rough reputation. One of our good mates who we used to go to school with came out of the closet so we named our first boat (a triton coble)"The Cowpen Queen" after him. It has followed on with Nefin CQ2 and now Growler CQ3, not sure which CQ number we will end up at by the time we are pensioners!
I hope this low blows through a bit sooner and makes sunday/monday do-able. I have got to set the plotter up to read knots but I haven't had time to read the manual to see how it is done and I am off to sweethope for an evening session in a few minutes!
Graham.
