Sorry for being a newby, but will the steetly be no good to fish at such low tides tonight? or is it still worth ago (thinking 6 until m/n).

got five good cod at low tide in the early hours one night last April ,and my mate lost a real biggun on the lift so the answer to your post is defo yes.

I have seen people fishing off the rocks between the heugh and red light-so its defo deep enough. I would try defo in the dark. i,m down on wed fishing heugh.

the tide is never too low for steetly mate. i would say bottom of the drop is most productive in general, plenty depth of water, even on a big low spring tide.

Not bad night.

Not bad night.

Just got in from fishing the steetley and it worked out ok.
I got there about 6 and lads going off said there was nowt been caught, but i had bites all night. I had 2 small whiteys (too small) and a nice flattie (pan size). Tony the Polish guy had a few whiteys and John the Gamekeeper turned up about 8pm for another all nighter.
I am back down there in the morning, lets hope it gets better and better.....
Thanks for all your replies tonight.
Griff
