hi lads after a long debate with my m8 they say they want 2 fish cambois ramp on sat instead of local beach mark dont no why!!!!!!!!we are goin out on sat ngt and the wind is a south westerly will this flatn the sea off because i dont want 2 go all the way up there and not be abl 2 fish it if any one could help it would be gr8 thanx

That should flatten the sea off but it depends what the forecast is the day before. If it stays westerly as it seems it is now then the sea will be flat (as it is up newbiggin now). Hope this helps

thats spot on m8 thanx!!i no m8 i wanted 2 fish the stairs at tynemouth beach or head up 2 blyth 2morro night! but my m8 drives me and they like cambois ramp i dont no lol

fishing the NESA winter comp tomorrow night mate - over on the south of the water...details in the shore fishing section ;)

come over if you can manage it

I'm no expert on the ramp but I would expect a lot of the beaches to come into their own if the sea doesn't die off too much. Most of them fish better two down and two up from low water, and low water is about nine on Saturday night. My choice would be Blyth beach, north end if it is still heavy and middle or farm if it has dropped off a bit.

i read about it m8 but hav no idea were 2 fish over there!! supose it wont make a diference i dont no were 2 fish this side of the water aswell lol ill speek 2 my m8 and see wat he says

they hav only fished it once b4 with my but if its no good we could just pop down 2 the farm house its only 10 mins away or up 2 church point dont no till we get there i supose

if you get to the ramp and the sea is big try off the top behind the alcan bins/cylos or down even further to the wall. have a look at the pic

Who says it's flattening off? Look at the difference in the Longsands website now compared to 12.00. Could be battening down the hatches never mind anything else.

Hi all
if u are fishing cambois get to the bins with these high tides u will get 3hrs each way deep gules 60yds out dont cast to far you will miss the hole.
Good luck

john. :)

when you say ramp are you talking high or low water ??? bottom of the ramp to your right is a set of skeers running out and thats the north hole, thats best fished on a south east sea or a dying northerly, if there is a big north sea fish the back of the rokers to the left of the ramp, but park in north blyth.

o right, never fished there before, looks a decent mark? any1 got any advice on tide, and is it rough ground? also the directions, lol :D

Turn right off the A1 signposted Cambois. Straight over all roundabouts till you come to a level crossing, there are two crossings, the first is for the ramp the second is for the storage bins. As said cast about 50 60 yards for the bins mark, it is quite snaggy but not too bad. I have never lost loads of gear from that mark. It is a high tide mark, usually fished just over two up and two down.
