Wind sock, loch etive

Morning all, I'm after a bit of info regarding the wind sock mark up there. I fished it last year but don't think fished the right place.......
After I park up and walk down to the water, should I walk as far as possible along the shore away from the loch? The last time we fished just down from the houses and holding bottom was a nightmare! Heading back up mid sept so any help would be really appreciated.

If you park along the track from the houses,walk to the right about 200yds.Theres a deep hole in that area.It always fishes best in the dark for Spurs.
Also,if theres been strong westerlies it can sometimes be full of weed.
