Just been reading about the planned new turbines from cambois pier to batttleship wharf...does anyone know if this will effect the access to cambois rocks???.
There will be 7 new turbines in total. The first one has already been erected and they will be starting on the other 6 in the near future.
Plus thats not what Narec have in the pipeline..they have bigger plans 3 mile out to sea off Cambois!!

I think it's already affected access to a certain extent and I know the watchie shuts the gate across the rail at 20:00 because he told me a few weeks ago. Just have top see what happens.
If you go past the rio tinto place on the fence there are signs every so often, I can't remember the exact wording but I think it means this area is not necessarily open to public access, words to that effect i think.

i spoke to a bloke who works for the port of blyth today and he told me that there isnt any restrictions for access anywhere along alcan!! i pointed out that there is a watchman there stopping folk going down towards where the jetties are..his answer to that was i'll look in to that and get back to you!! lol....
