Windy shields pier

Fished Shields the day and got blown all over the place. Kicked off at around 10:30 using rag and not a sniff all day untill high water. Switched to crab and got this canny coaly, 1lb plus I reckon:

Had a bit crack with a couple of guys walking back down and one of them wasn't very happy as he'd just snapped the end of his SK3.

Got another coaly after that and last chuck got this flattie :

Don't know what type like.

Turned out to be a really nice day with the sun out and when the wind dropped off a bit.

Better than sitting in the house I thought plus never lost any gear unlike last week.

Nar mate, the one I got back was 2 weeks ago and subsequently well and truly lost last week, along with several more:( That was at 44 but today fished at 41 after talking to a guy who had already had problems at 44 earlier today. So no problems at 41/42. I reckon there must be a lost rope or something on the seabed at 44.

welldone m8 on the fish its a pain retrieving in quick on that mark but if theres some sort of snag it defo will spoil the fishing or maybe not in the same area shud produce fish anyways

Well done mate, wouldn't see me on the pier with that wind, it was windy enough upriver at fraisers

aye wind dropping off for tomorrow tho and as suggested fish 42 -44 area but a good cast 50+ yards shud clear any close snags so might not be a rope just short casters LOL :D

:D Haha, so you think 50yds is a good cast, well I personally don't, I think it's an exceptional one mate:D:D
