Having never tried uptiding - what are the views of the board on this method of fishing when unable to venture much further than a mile offshore over the winter.
I have reciently been trying a bit of uptiding. With short casts of about 20yrds away from the boat resulting in a few small codling. I was using uptide rigs which I bought at the local tackle shop. I dont have a proper rod so I just used my 20lb class rod with smaller leads. I fished two rods that day and must admit better success when casting away from the boat.
