Witton Castle - Report

Managed to get a day at Witton Castle yesterday. Fishing with my Dad we both had a canny day.

Result

JC Jrn 13 fish - biggest 4lb
JC Snr 9 fish - biggest 6lb

Both of us dropped a lot of fish.

The fish came from all three lakes, however the east (larger) lake was the most consistant. It was scratch fishing with the fish changing moods all day. Most fish came to Black Buzzers (size 12+14), Bloodworms and Daddys/hoppers.

Great days fishing added by the fact we took so many fish off the top (in October)

Hi Sless
Off to Denmark for the rest of the week but hoping to get up the Wear
for 1 last crack at the seatrout before the end of the season.

Then I will be concentrating on the stillwaters and sea fishing.

I might be up the Wear on Saturday if you fancy it? I think Corky is keen for another go, depended on river level, I have just heard it is massive today with more rain to fall in the next couple of days....
