Head north past the astley arms, turn right at the roundabout, follow road along and turn right where it says i think both ab pier/ port of tyne, then park on the right at the hole in the wall, then walk along to the pier,
ps don't carry to much or you will be knackered off the walk.
Go for blyth beach, go past the bandstand(carpark). Turn right into the port of BLYTH, then park in the small gravel carpark on your right. Walk from here along the path heading north untill you come to the pier.

I did go fishing on blyth peir that day, didn't catch any fish though but did catch a crab and a canny lobster lol still more productive than the last few places ive tried so I'll give it another go sometime
