Worth voting on???

A VERY strange thing about our country I\'m sure you\'ve noticed Ian ,St. Georges day can just pass by however St.Patricks day is MEGA especially in Newcastle ,not being anti Irish here as I\'m a tiny bit Irish myself ,but why doesn\'t St. Georges Day hold the same if not more esteem

Personally I am not interested in it being a public holiday.
However i do think it should be noticed a wee bit more than St. Patricks day.
WTF has St. Patricks day got to do with England.
Nothing I am afraid.

Jim.

I think it\'s any excuse for a P*** up Willy! It\'s not as if people need much encouragement these days.

need to keep a foot on the ground here, or I could end up sounding like a daily mail reader, but was more than a little, ahem, \'dissapointed\' to read of a shop owner being banned from celebrating St Georges day by hanging flags out, lest they cause offence.........

Yep Mark, and the publican who couldn\'t hang St Georges crosses outside his pub for the same reason.

This country try to make you ashamed to show you\'re english and proud of it - and this is not a racist rant, its about me being proud of my country.

and the irony is on St paddys day you\'ll see the tri-colour up and down the land, and in scotland its almost compulsary to have the Saltire (blue flag with a white cross for us english types)flying permanently, and no-one gives a hoot, but woe betide you, for if you show the Cross of St george your obviously a xenophobic nutter
