well we could say they were a bunch of greedy fellows, orwe could say they had been driven to crime,by rule makers who give them little chance of making a living legally
Said it before and ill continue to say it. "nowt but a greedy bunch of T****rs". They wont be happy till all the fish stocks are gone. The fines are pittiful compared to the amount of money made. Just makes it worthwhile to do it. £63 million in, £720,000 in fines. Come on work it out, if that profit was made from selling drugs, there would have been some heavy prison sentances handed out.
Not tarring them with the same brush a drug dealers but not so many years ago dealers were only getting fines or small sentances. They were making thousands and if caught, they were only doing 3 months. Point is, sentances were increased to deter them from dealing. Do the same to the thieving skippers. Fine them £63million, not a pitiful £720,000. Or lock them up for 8 years. Dont make doing the crime worthwile.
