Wrecks galore!

you'd be surprised how many more there are though!

virtually all the ones between the piers have been swept, so there's nothing left to show for them now. outside the piers there are hundreds of them within a few miles, thousands of em between berwick and whitby, more per mile of coast than any where else in the UK
 
would have to look in one of the articles i wrote, but if i remeber rightly, the last sonic survey showed around 200 wrecks within the Tyne estuary, many are reckoned to be treasure ships, but are far to deep in sludge etc to be physically surveyed.
