After not taking the SOUND advice from the NESA members I still went to south Shields pier macky bashin and never caught any. (you were right lads).
But thanks to Andy 2009 (think thats right) I caught a flounder or a dab dont know the difference, a plaice and two nice whiting with the worms he gave to me as he was leaving.

By the way I only saw one mackerel caught today.
