yaking the tyne

anyone fished the tyne on the yak,and if so are cod feathers as affective on the river as they are at sea??..need to get out but cant due to this damm wind

No expert but cant see what advantage the yak would give you over the banks/shore, other than avoiding other river cruisers/PILOTS coming close deliberatley cutting your line!
