What you got to remember is casting and fishing use the rod in different ways, I haven't used any of the Sonik rods off the shore but I've got a Sonik SK3 spinning rod and can't fault it landed salmon to 17lb without any problems

I understand there is a difference in casting and fishing, and in the different styles and techniques in t individual anglers I was only looking for the views and feed back of the lads that have or used this model, , no matter anyway thanks again to the feedback I got, have ma de my mind what to do

I have heard them Soniks are pretty good.

You should have a look at the Reelsport rods they got plenty of bang for the bucks with awesome reviews, check them out in the shop next time you are passing.

thanks lee, but it looks as if a will have to wait as lad is going on holiday so it will be a fortnight before a can buy, have had lot of positive feed back from lads of the locker

alreet mick ,,,,,, he right its not , but there is fish there if u willing to work at it, or go further afield like going after the hounds or thornies etc , it is the funds for me so i not fish as much these day for many reasons (usually me health, specially if weather gonna be a bit dodgy ) , but i still like to get out and just chill nowt better on a nice day just sitting listenin to me radio , then reflect on the good old days when !!

I bought an almost new Sonic from shop in North Shields. Its a 14 ft beachcaster. Not as firm as my Tip Tornado but still a very nice rod.
