Zziplex butt section

Looking for a bit advice chaps,im gonna try and get a butt section for a LT bullet,to go with the rod im using now but ideally i want the butt section to be shorter than the standard one,so it makes the rod 13ft instead of 14ft,dont want to butcher the butt section i`ve got though.If i get a spare and cut it down does anyone know if this will weaken it to the point of splitting or would it be ok?,thanks in advance.

Best advise i can give mate would to contact terry and order one special but speaking from experiance this can take a long time as terry is a busy man, i would look for a used but section as there must be someone out there that has had a accident with a bullet tip section, as for cutting it down take it to century as they have a machine for cutting blanks i am sure if you ask nicely they wont mind doing a Zziplex as a one off lol.

a junior hacksaw will do the job very easily, done it myself on lots of reducers!

As for butts, lots of 1 inch diameter zzippy butts will fit. Ive had 2 lt bullets and dont think the butts are anything special ie they are not powerpointed, just a parallel section.

contact moocher on here he has a shorter butt section for a lt bullit for fishing the piers he will prob sell if the price is right he never uses it now and is just about brand new
