This may be a daft question but how can you tell makes of Zziplex rods.I have been offered a zziplex rod but there is no other markings on it apart from zziplex on the tip section and zziplex on the but section.Its a 13ft rod with 2 equal sections 6ft 6" each and my guess is it has been redone as its it quite good condition

I have a zippy it's red and silver called a zero plus and the tip is longer than the butt. Every zippy I have ever seen has a longer tip.but I do know they did do one which was equal sections it was called the 50/50. Hope this helps m8.

M4, m4 evo, m4 gt and the m4 Hiflex are all equal sectioned rods
6ft 9 sections, around 13ft 5 assembled

Have you discovered it by the badge or has someone told you its an M4.
Without the relevent stickers it will be purely a guess and my guess without the sticker info it could well be a snide.

It does seem
Strange to have labels on both tip and butt to be an m4, most zziplex rods only have stickers on the butts from the time the m4 was released.
Can you post pics and maybe give us an idea of the blank diameter, this will get us a wee bit closer to Id the rod

Im affraid to say its not a zziplex Tilly m8 as the top section is much bigger than the butt as i use a zziplex myself okay m8.
the best man to ask is Primoman as he deals with nothing else but zziplex

What makes you say that mate there is a few zziplex rods that are equal length as in the 50/50 and a few others that the lads have mentioned just look at quagmires post
Also alan doesnt just deal with zziplex rods

It used to be the norm for 8ft tips and 5ft butts ages ago, changed days now.
