Zziplex tip diameter

Afternoon lads. Does anyone know the tip diameters of the following rods. Looking to replace tip rings with heavy duty ones and don't want to remove the existing ones before being certain and ordering new ones:

M427 Hi Flex

M4 GT

3.6 mm should fit but the 427 might be touch and go and need a 4mm. You dont want a ring that's too big lol!

You can sometimes gain a 0.1mm or so if you scrape back the varnish off the tip and heat the tip ring up but be careful!!!!

You might ruin the gt by putting a heavy diamite type tip ring on. It will bounce about a lot.

Was thinking the same thing. Seems crackers to me to have a slim, lightweight and very responsive tip then stick a hunking great metal tip ring on there. Each to their own of course but I wouldn't dream of having a Diamite tip ring within a million miles of my GT

Totally agree they ruin the action of most rods and cause the tip to wollow as for people saying it is to let the weed and shocker through well it only gets stuck in the next size 10/12 guide
