Congratulations on a dream fish mate and people say you cant catch Bass in the winter months,well done its my favourite fish,hope i can catch one as good.
One day maybe!!

i fished a sea league match at Newbiggin a good few years ago, it was the middle of winter and -5, and we where catching little schoolies, they where actually a pest at the time. Think the bass up here are like the anglers ????

I suspect it will be even though the pipe has long gone, they probably won't have thought about undesignating it

Well done Brian, that's the best bass I've heard of from around here in a long time.

just checked my records have only got recorded eight bigger bass than Brians, but my records go back to the sixties if not longer and from Scarborough to Berwick. for the immediate area from Newbiggin to The Tyne it is the biggest I have recorded.

Hi David, I think some years are more productive than others as far as Whiting are concerned mate, same with Coley. There were a few years where I hardly saw a Coley and then all of a sudden there are loads again. The Whiting will still be around, I just think it has been a bit rough for catching them in numbers this year.
