Tynemouth Pier 15/6/11

dont let it get to you mate theres plenty of jealous folk out there ,if ya doing well you will get wrong in the long run for catching nice fish ;)

coddy its not about being jealous on my part, that fish did not weigh 7lb, you should know, you've caught plenty about that size.

TBH how on earth can someone say 100% for sure that a fish is not the given weight ffs, give the lad a break he said he caught a 7lb fish, say well done and leave it at that. ;)

I have to agree with tony on this one- that fish isnt close to 7lb, unless it had a gut full of lead :p

I had a set of scales that where really optimistic, i had a codling of horden that looked about 1.5lb at most and the scales where telling me it was 4lb, that was on a cheap set of spring loaded scales, got some nice digital scales and they where spot on.

If your still adament then get your scales and stick say a bag of sugar on them and see what it tells you, then you will know if they are correctly calibrated- and if they are get a photo up on here to remove all doubt!

Am i now a hater?????? haha :D

Nice fish anyway, especially for the time of year.

Dont shoot the messenger!...

Dont shoot the messenger!...

Alright lads handbags doon, think we should give this a rest now.

Who cares what size it is, its a nice cod/codling for the time of year. Besides a doubt the lad would go to that lenght to lie about his fish, if it was7lb, then leave it. Where not playing games of 'guess the weight'!:D

Good fish that mate but to be honest when I first seen pics I thought that's not a 7 punder
I caught this one from the yak at yellow can and was about 6lb , I'm on right at the front.
I know it does not really matter but just thought I would post but well done anyway, catching anything is a bonus

what a pathetic bunch of so called anglers on here, they cant say well done but instead have a dig.
ah bet none of you would say it to the lads face because you wont have the balls to
get a grip, you's really are pathetic !

Cracking fish m8 i have looked at all 3 pics and i would defo say it was in the 7lb region. You fish all your life to catch a fish like that and when you do people cant help but put you down ignore the haters and tight lines an absolute f**king cracker m8.

Cant really tell from the 1st and 2nd pics but the 3rd one is better. Given that water weighs 1kg per litre it's fair to say that a 2 litre bottle of coke would weigh well over 4lbs and seeing as the fish density would be greater than water I wouldn't doubt it made 7lbs on the scales. And even if there was a bit error in the scales, who cares! Cracking fish mate well done
