i fancy a trip over to the west coast at easter, maybe cumbria coast or dumfries and galloway, any suggestions or tips?

Port carlisle can be worth a visit in april for flounders there still a bit on the thin side but enough of them about for a busy session
think we had more flounder reports from carlisle from spoonman to make a man insane last year ... why when ya will get them local no need to travel that far :D

What species would you like to target, the likes of Dumfries around the balcary area will see lots of action from doggies and flatties close in and if your lucky you may just pick up a ray. Best to fish on the smaller tides as the big tides are horrendous for trying to hold bottom. Bait wise up that way I normally just take a few packs of small sandeel, a good tip for targeting the doggies is too snap the barb of your hooks to make it easier for getting it out of there gobs.
